     My expectation was high when this came out... but it was too disappointing! REALLY! I almost slept most of the time. But then what can you expect from old timer like VAN DAMME and DOLPH LUNDGREN to perform? This movie really discredit them far from THE EXPENDABLES... below par!

     I prefer the first three installment (this is the official fourth installment) than this one. The story line seemed ok but I think the execution play of the actors are really sloppy and no emotion expression. Yes, the action and the gunfire are extreme but that's it.
     Just hope that you like it more than I did. I do like Van Damme in most of his movies... but this one really spoiled it big time. May need a miracle to resurrect an old timer... like Sly Stallone.

     This Liam Nesson wanted to be an action man with this film. I liked him better in Star Wars. Reminds me of Matt Damon in Bourne movies. Anyway this movie is ok but don't expect too much action... much running and he runs weird.
     Family value instilled with some regular things parents do with their kids. Separated parents are unlikely to be this close but that's some of the good value added into this movie. Even the bad guys also gives you a few tips about family values... imagine that!

     I think the story line tried a continuation with the first movie but if you didn't managed to see it, this movie gives a glimpse of what happened previously... so you don't get lost when you watched this movie. The thing that I don't really like is that they portrait Muslim as the terrorist. they even enhanced the image of the religion by plotting the event in Istanbul. Also prayers and recites that completely unnecessary.

     THE GOOD

• family values instilled and much love within the family.
• the gun shooting and the chase.
• a good story line.

     THE BAD

• picturing Muslim as revenge seeker, terrorist and violent.
• Liam Nesson needs to run properly... he runs weird!
• he is too calm even in a very dangerous position.

     NEED IMPROVEMENT

• more participation from local authority or his agency to help out.
• throwing bombs from roof top is not only dangerous... it's stupid as to no regards of the people.
• a different kind of action... not just gun firing or close combat techniques.

   

     Overall, the movie is okay by me. Nothing much can be done to improve as we are stuck with Liam Nesson (no offence) and the story line just consistently guns, guns and guns!
     Next PREMO_VIEW could be these movies...

     Until then... enjoy your movie.

     'I AM THE LAW!'... this sentence can only be one thing, JUDGE DREDD! Yes, my first preview movie to be blog. The hype is high for this movie. Managed to win a few tix for this preview. The judge was also there!

     In my mind still trying not to think of Sly Stallone from the previous movie but in a few scenes you will want him to be in it. No offence to the current actor Karl Urban but he also got a few good moves in this movie that is worth mentioning. I don't think this is a reboot... but another chapter in the judge's life.

     One thing I must say... the movie is full of BLOOD and GORE! No joke! Not for the fainted heart and definitely not for kids! Excellent viewed with 3D as you get to feel the blood splattered... or in this movie, BRAINS and BODY PARTS EVERYWHERE!!

     The 'slo-mo' reminds me of bullet time (recall 'MATRIX'?) only much slower and more detailed in 3D. Basically this movie is about evaluation of the rookie judge that gone into whirlpool chaos. Lots of gun fire and people died from it, brain matters everywhere, tonnes of bad guys and it all happens in a 200 storey building in a day. Also, some of the bad guys that you didn't anticipate at first but you'll see the logic.
     My views:-
          THE GOOD

• a new story line, a different take on the judges and the bad guys.
• 3D effects are awesome especially the blood splattered.
• 'slo-mo' actions are really detailed and mesmerizing.
• good quality acting.

          THE BAD

• no elaboration on the drugs.
• the judges never took off the helmets.
• all the scenes are in the building!

          NEED IMPROVEMENT

• the action should be outside as well. Street chasing (minus the first part) or battle outside.
• the outfit especially the helmets need some altercation.
• need more laws mentioned!

     Overall, I'm happy with the outcome of this movie. Lots of bad reviews but I don't think it's that bad... slightly average, if not better. One thing for sure, you need to experience and enhance the effects more in 3D... 2D will be just a waste. Kudos for making it looked like this is going to happen in the future. There's already talks about prequel and sequels. Hopefully more GORE!!!
     Next PREMO_VIEW could be these movies... (provided I managed to win the tix!)

     My next moview is the Undead flick, RESIDENT EVIL 5 (RETRIBUTION). Didn't have the chance to see the preview but managed to see it anyway.

     If you already saw the first 4 movies, this will actually open your eyes on how things are related and connected. A slow start at the beginning that actually trying to summaries all the 4 movies but it was worth it if you kinda forgot or relapsed. Confused at first but gradually you will start to see the real picture. Some of the familiar faces that you've seen are back. Huh?!? yes, me too. Got confused but you will understand why.

     Everything seemed lost for mankind but a new character came to aid Alice and someone whom you will not expect to help her. Meet Ada Wong!

     I love the fighting scenes but it seemed that the zombies are getting faster and evolved. The climax is not expected but everything must have a reason, right? And the ending really blows your mind! Is this the end of mankind? Could this be in the real world? Or is it? Find out and experience yourself in cinemas near you. Better go 3D as the effects are more awesome!

     My views:-

          THE GOOD

• story being told summarized earlier for those who are new to the franchise.
• the visuals are awesome! better with 3D for full effect. REALLY!!
• installed elements of family values and friendship.

          THE BAD

• the good guys dropped dead like flies. And too few left.
• the zombies seemed to have 'humanized' with capability to fight... WITH WEAPONS!

          NEED IMPROVEMENT

• The zombies should move as a zombies... NOT LIKE SPRINTERS!
• story line can be more detailed and not rushed.
• bring back other good guys or bring in new characters... GOOD CHARACTERS!
• the good guys need some slight advantage to keep alive a bit longer.

     Overall the movie is good in terms of exploring a new angle. There will be a finale (hopefully) for this franchise most likely. Don't forget to watch it in 3D!

my EXPENDABLES 2 moview

     I love movies. Love them so much that I try to watch every week if there's new and exciting ones coming out. And I want to share my views on these movies. There were a lot of excellent movies before but I didn't have the time to blog my views.
     Starting with the adrenaline rush and lots of action movie - THE EXPENDABLES 2!

     This movie really blows things up! From anything to everything! And all the well known action heroes are in a single movie! This movie does not disappoint those who loves explosions and guns blazing, blood splattered everywhere!
     My views:-
          THE GOOD

•           all of our favorite action hero actors are in a single movie.
•           lots of actions from shooting, bombing and hand combat... you name it!
•           almost all of the actors got screen time of their own added with some slapstick.
•           it's action with some added laughter too. Catch some witty lines... it's really funny!

          THE BAD

•           too many explosions! And shooting!
•           a couple of the main characters exited too early and not featured.
•           none of the heroes got hit at all during a massive shooting!

          NEED IMPROVEMENT

•           the story line need to be more detailed and precised.
•           get more action heroes on board!

     Overall the movie is good. Hoping that there will be EXPENDABLES 3 on the way!

     Next movie that I might give a PREMO_VIEW (PREMOvie_reVIEW)...

 ... and the most awaited PREMO_VIEW!
